Every Moss Pure installation begins with the project, not a predetermined moss wall design.
Architects can provide drawings, elevations, renderings, inspiration images, finish selections, material palettes, brand standards, and overall design direction. We translate that vision into a custom living composition using natural variations of living moss and our sculpted terrain.

From Rendering to Moss Wall Installation.
Living material cannot, and shouldn’t, look perfectly manufactured.
Moss Pure works with the natural variations of living moss to translate architectural renderings into dimensional compositions while maintaining the overall design intent.
For larger installations, we can develop a visual design guide identifying the intended distribution of moss color families, species, textures, flatter areas, and sculpted 3D terrain across the elevation.
During fabrication, progress photographs can be provided for review and feedback before the completed installation is delivered.

Moss Pure brings together patented engineering, living material, and stunning architectural design for corporate workplaces, healthcare, hospitality, and other modern spaces.
The difference is visual.
You have to see and feel our living moss 3D terrain designs in person to fully be immersed within our stunning and vibrant designs. Pictures alone cannot capture the visual differences between our living moss wall installations and preserved moss walls (which are no longer living).
Because Moss Pure uses 100% living natural material, variations in color, texture, density, and form are inherent to every installation. Rather than attempting to make nature perfectly uniform, we use those variations intentionally as part of the architectural composition.

Moss on it’s own is not an air filter. Moss Pure isn’t simply living moss attached to a wall. Our patented and proprietary technology is built into every installation.
The system creates the engineered environment that supports our selected living moss while eliminating the routine watering, irrigation, sunlight, electricity, and maintenance associated with conventional living green walls.
Moss Pure also doubles as a patented air filter and stress relief device, allowing architects to incorporate biophilic design, sculptural living material, and functional technology within a single architectural feature.Using patented engineering and biotechnology, Moss Pure developed a living moss wall and air filter system that is third-party laboratory tested to improve your air quality.

MOSS PURE VS PRESERVED MOSS WALLS
The difference is visual + biological.
Moss Pure uses 100% living moss incorporated into a patented system engineered for long-term performance. Preserved moss is no longer living and needs replacement. Moss Pure has been brought in to replace preserved moss walls and living green walls that have deteriorated over time, including preserved moss installations that were approximately between two and five years old at the time of replacement.

Phantom Farms Brewing | Berkeley Mill
Located within the historic Berkeley Mill, the project provided an opportunity to connect the Moss Pure installation directly to the architecture of the building.
The custom frames were handcrafted using reclaimed wood from the original mill dating back to the 1870s, bringing the history of the building together with 100% living nature.
Museum-style lighting was incorporated to accentuate the sculptural depth, texture, and shadows of the handcrafted 3D living moss terrain.
