Moss Pure is 100% LIVE moss. This isn’t a preserved moss installation and it isn’t a decorative greenery display. It’s a fully engineered, living moss wall system, the same patented technology behind every Moss Pure installation, scaled to a size no moss wall (either living or preserved) has reached before.

This project is being installed for a confidential Fortune 500 financial services client at their corporate offices in Boston, Massachusetts.

Design Overview

This installation is built in two distinct pieces within the same building, giving the project a scale and range a single flat wall couldn’t achieve:

Lobby. A five-piece living moss wall welcomes visitors and employees at the building’s main entrance — a horizontal, multi-panel composition at eye level.

Stairwell. A two-piece installation spans 25 feet vertically through a five-story stairwell, turning a typically overlooked architectural space into a continuous living surface.

Together, the two installations total roughly 200 square feet, making this one of the largest single living moss wall projects Moss Pure has engineered to date.

Engineering at Scale

Every square foot of a Moss Pure installation is a fully assembled, engineered device — a frame, integrated branding, an air-filtration layer, and real, living moss, sustained without water, sunlight, or electricity. Scaling that system to 200 square feet across two installations means scaling the underlying patented technology itself, not simply producing more small panels and mounting them side by side.

That engineering matters most in the stairwell piece: a continuous 25-foot vertical run through an active five-story stairwell requires the same living moss system to perform consistently across a much larger surface and a more demanding installation environment than a typical flat feature wall.

How Moss Pure Differs From a Standard Living Wall

A project at this scale would be a very different undertaking with a standard living wall. Traditional living walls rely on real plants that stay alive the conventional way — which means the living plant wall itself needs supporting infrastructure just to survive:

• Living plant walls are not a sustainable option.

None of that is a one-time cost. It’s a recurring operational burden — water bills, electricity, a maintenance contract, and a standing budget for plant replacement — for as long as the wall exists. At 200 square feet across a lobby and a five-story stairwell, that infrastructure would mean irrigation lines and electrical runs built into both spaces, plus an ongoing service relationship to keep the wall alive.
